Jim is the General Manager and Operating Partner of the Canoe. His vision and drive have developed the restaurant into what it is today. From our hand-built tables, introducing Steveston to craft beer, and harnessing the view of the marina for our awesome regulars lined up along the bar, Jim's ideas have taken the "cabin-on-a-lake" vision and brought it to life for everyone to enjoy.

Jim's background as Director of Food & Beverage at the Marriott Rennaissance in Vancouver, his passion for food, drinks, and Steveston, have converged and transformed a quiet restaurant in our sleepy little fishing village into the hottest spot in town.

As Restaurant Manager, Colin wears a lot of hats. He can be seen bartending, bussing, serving, and he has even been seen having a drink on the patio once or twice. But he brings even more to the table, he has trained at ISG and WSET as a Sommelier, and knows the area well, as a longtime Steveston resident who has also worked at Papi's wine bar, and Tapenade. He spent time at a Vineyard in Australia, and in Grand Cayman, learning as much as he could about the hospitality business.

We're fortunate to have him running the floor, and inspiring us with some of the guacamole and hot sauces that he has become famous for.
